These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Advanticks (the "Service"), operated by Tom Bednarczyk ("we," "us," or "our"), available at app.advanticks.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Advanticks is a market-scanning, data, and analytics platform for equities and ETFs, which also displays market data for crypto. It identifies pre-market, regular-hours, and after-hours price movers; shows market data and company information; lets you build private strategies, grade chart examples, and train machine-learning models on those examples; keeps a journal of your trading activity (synced from a brokerage account you connect, or entered manually); and, if you choose to enable it, places and manages orders through a brokerage account you have connected.
Crypto is currently market data only — Advanticks does not place crypto orders.
Automated trading is off by default and never enables itself. It begins only after you take two deliberate steps: connect a brokerage account (Section 5), then subscribe one of your strategies to that account and enable that subscription. Until both are done, Advanticks places no orders of any kind for you.
If the account you connect is a live brokerage account, the orders placed are real orders for real money. Advanticks does not ask for a separate confirmation before each individual order — enabling a strategy on a live account is itself the authorization for every order that strategy subsequently places. If you want to evaluate a strategy without financial risk, connect a paper account instead.
When enabled, Advanticks may, without further input from you: submit entry orders; place protective stop-loss and profit-target orders; modify, replace, or cancel those orders while managing an open position; and submit orders to close a position. Outside regular trading hours, brokers generally do not accept native stop or bracket orders, so Advanticks manages protective exits itself by monitoring prices and submitting closing orders when your configured levels are reached. This depends on the Service running and receiving market data at the time.
Automated execution is not guaranteed. A broker can reject, delay, or partially fill an order; a closing order placed outside regular hours is a limit order and may rest unfilled; and an outage, data gap, or software fault in the Service or any provider it depends on can prevent an order from being placed or managed at all. Protective exits are a feature, not a promise, and they are not a stop-loss guarantee.
You can stop new entries at any time using Halt all trading, which deliberately does not stop management of positions you already hold — halting exit management would leave open positions unprotected. You can also submit closing orders for bot-held positions using Flatten, disable an individual subscription, or disconnect the broker entirely. You remain responsible for monitoring your own positions and for confirming that orders were accepted and filled, and you are responsible for all orders placed through your connected accounts.
Advanticks is an informational, analytical, and execution tool, not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or financial planner. Nothing in the Service — including scanner results, machine-learning scores or probabilities, chart annotations, or any other output — is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. We do not know your financial situation, objectives, or risk tolerance, and nothing here should be treated as personalized advice.
Where automated trading is enabled, the Service executes rules, models, and risk settings you configured. That is your strategy being carried out, not advice from us, and it does not make us your adviser or agent.
Market data (including data from Alpaca, Financial Modeling Prep, and Coinbase) may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Machine-learning outputs are statistical estimates based on historical patterns and are not predictions or guarantees of future performance. A model trained on past setups may not adapt to changing market conditions. You are solely responsible for your own trading and investment decisions and for any resulting gains or losses.
Access is currently invite-only: an administrator must add your email to an allowlist before you can sign in. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. We use Supabase to handle authentication (email/password and Google/Apple sign-in); we never see or store your password ourselves.
If you choose to connect a brokerage account (currently Alpaca, with TradeStation, Schwab, and Tradovate/NinjaTrader planned), you will be redirected to that broker's own hosted login page and authorize access via OAuth. We never see, request, or store your brokerage password. The access credentials the broker issues to us are encrypted before being stored. They are used to read your trade history for your Trade Journal and your account summary (portfolio value, cash, buying power, positions) and — only if you enable automated trading for that account under Section 2 — to place, modify, cancel, and close orders on it.
You may disconnect a broker at any time from the Brokers page, or by revoking access directly with the broker. Connecting or disconnecting a broker does not itself place or cancel any trade; disconnecting stops future automated activity but does not close positions that are already open, which remain yours to manage at the broker.
You agree not to: (a) attempt to circumvent the allowlist or access another user's account or data; (b) reverse-engineer, scrape, or excessively automate requests against the Service in a way that degrades it for other users or violates the rate limits of underlying data providers (Alpaca, Financial Modeling Prep, Coinbase); (c) use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including market manipulation or trading on material non-public information; or (d) resell or provide the Service to third parties without our permission.
The Service relies on and displays data from third-party providers, including Alpaca (market data and, if you connect it, brokerage data and order execution), Coinbase (crypto market data), Financial Modeling Prep (company/float data), Supabase (authentication), Anthropic (which powers the in-app assistant — see the Privacy Policy for what is sent to it), Logo.dev and flagcdn.com (logo/flag images), and TradingView's Lightweight Charts library (a charting library that runs in your browser; it does not receive your data). Your use of any connected brokerage or OAuth provider (Alpaca, Google, Apple, TradeStation, Schwab, Tradovate/NinjaTrader) is also subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control.
The Service, including its software, design, and the Advanticks name and logo, is owned by us. You retain ownership of any trade notes, tags, manual journal entries, chart grades, and strategy configurations you create. We do not claim ownership of your personal trading data.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DATA (INCLUDING MARKET DATA OR SYNCED TRADE HISTORY) WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY ORDER WILL BE PLACED, FILLED, MODIFIED, OR CANCELED AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME OR PRICE, OR AT ALL.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY TRADING OR INVESTMENT LOSSES, INCLUDING LOSSES ARISING FROM AN ORDER THAT WAS PLACED, NOT PLACED, MISPRICED, DELAYED, DUPLICATED, OR NOT CANCELED, OR FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON ANY DATA, SCORE, OR OUTPUT IT PROVIDES. YOUR SOLE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE SERVICE IS TO STOP USING IT.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, including by removing you from the allowlist, for any reason including a suspected violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and disconnect any brokerage account at any time. Suspension or termination does not close positions already open at your broker.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the effective date above when changes are made, and where a change materially affects automated trading we will surface it in the app rather than relying on this page alone.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].
